RODP Faculty

Do you require your online students to write research papers or use outside  sources for discussion posts?  Do your students need to use the virtual library to  access articles that you assign?

Would you rather have your students consult original journal research articles and expert reference resources,  instead of low- quality websites as their only sources?

If you answered yes, fill out the form below to request a Librarian to participate in your course for research assignments and for joining in research related discussions with your students.

The TBR Libraries want to assure  that online students receive the same services and  assistance as on-campus students.

A Librarian can be included in your  D2L course to assist students  with library and research related issues in the course. 

How can a librarian be included?

A librarian can be added to your online course as a Co-Instructor, or Co-Designer in the D2L "Librarian" role.

The "Librarian" role enables participation in email, discussion groups, content development, but does not enable access to student grades or quizzes.


What can a Librarian contribute?

Guide students to Library Online resources, including journal articles, ebooks, and reference resources.


Help resolve technical difficulties in accessing online library materials.
Help with difficult citation formats.
Help students access materials that the library does not own.
Advise students how to access and request library-owned materials that are not online.
Assist in the design of tutorials, including quizzes, for research or content related reference resource activities.
In consultation with the faculty, schedule or participate in research related discussion board.
